Friend, I've been there...
Here's what I've learned to be true as an avid gym goer, spending hours in the gym, to becoming a Mom of 2 in just two years time...
Priorities change.
In many ways, fitness changed for me. I am now more committed to the How and Why behind my training.
1. How we train matters - after enduring months of pregnancy and undergoing major changes with our body, how we choose to move in those early weeks and months matters. In order to avoid any major setbacks or pelvic floor dysfunction down the road - we must take into consideration things like realistic timelines, intensity and appropriate exercise selection.
2. Understanding WHY I am training the way I am matters. Postpartum is absolutely not the time to perform random workouts. It is the time to train with purpose and intention. And let's be serious, Mama. We need effective exercises to get the job done because, as Moms, we don't have all of the time in the world to dedicate to our workouts.
I am no longer training just for myself - I'm training for my kids too- to keep up with them, to move and function with ease. And truly, to have a rock solid foundation to support me every step of the way.
I knew the importance of slowing down first and rebuilding my core and pelvic floor before getting back to training the way I love.
But, if I'm being honest, I also knew I wanted to build back lean muscle and drop body fat along the way. I wanted to feel strong and confident again after my back to back pregnancies. And I know that I'm not the only Mama with these goals....

6 complete phases designed to help you Master your Postpartum Fitness Journey.
Phase 1 (Weeks 1-4)
The first part of your rebuilding phase. Here's where you begin re-establishing the connection to your core & pelvic floor again. You'll work through effective exercises to heal your core & pelvic floor with repetition and a whole body approach.

Phase 2 (Weeks 5-8)
Here's where you will start to see more Full Body Strength workouts- keeping up with the rehab theme. Each workout is designed with purpose - from use of proper exercise progressions to making sure you are overloading your core and pelvic floor appropriately in order to keep building that unbreakable foundation.

Phase 3 (Weeks 9-12)
Here it is Mama - the final phase of rebuilding! Here's where you will start to not only feel a difference but see the difference too! Especially in the aesthetics of your abdomen as you have been working hard to manage pressure and tone from within. You'll see big improvements in your diastasis and strength gains too as you feel able to move with support and solid function.

Phase 4 (Weeks 13-16)
Now it's time to step into the full strength program smooooth and steady! You worked so hard to build your foundation up to this point and here's where we continue to work off that and get stronger overtime. Build, build, build is the theme here! (Safely, of course). By the end of this phase, you'll start to see some of the Mama muscles peek through!

Phase 5 (Weeks 17-20)
Here's where the real muscle building begins. You will now continue to build and progressively overload your muscles. Training intensities will kick up a notch and you'll be introduced to more dynamic and explosive movements as well! You'll even hit some new Postpartum PRs! You'll feel on top of the world with a strong core and pelvic floor supporting you every step of the way.

Phase 6 (Weeks 21-24)
You made it Mama. The final phase. Intensity bumps up a bit here. But that's the point, right? You'll tackle your workouts without fearing the load because you've established such a strong base up to this point. We finish out your program with a few new PRs to hit. You will walk away from this final phase feeling strong, confident, sexy, empowered and ready for more!

Hey there! I'm Kathy. I am a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Specialist and a very grateful Mama of 2.

I’ve been a trainer now for over a decade. Over half of this time has been dedicated to training women, specifically pre and postnatal. I’ve found complete joy in training this population and have invested much of my time over the years learning and growing so that I can provide even greater service to these amazing Mamas!

I am certified in pre & postnatal training along with being a Pregnancy + Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (learning from Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists & other women’s health experts in the field).

This really allows me to better create safe + effective programs for my clients with a well-rounded, full body approach.
